Allegheny Unitarian Universalist Church

Our mission is to nurture love and compassion in our congregation, our communities, and our world.

Join Us for Sunday Worship

Sunday worship at Allegheny offers an opportunity to find spiritual refreshment, inspiration, and joy. We worship together in the church sanctuary. Services are led by members and friends with Rev. David McFarland and Rev. Deryck Tines offering their reflections monthly at Worship Café. Open Space Sundays offer a variety of experiences and opportunities to deepen our spiritual selves.

Soul Space | 10:30 am

Each month at the Worship Café, Allegheny welcomes ministers and guests to share thoughts and reflections that inspire us on the way.

Allegheny Sunday

Nov 23 | Gratitude Sunday

Gratitude is more than a polite “thank you,” it is the thread that connects us in a deep relationship. This morning, we honor the many gifts that the congregation has shared with the church. This reflection will be followed by a light meal and fellowship at 11:00. You are invited to bring something to share . . . and are welcome even if you just bring yourself!!

Nov 30 | Open Space Sunday

Join us for an Open Space Sunday as we contemplate facing into winter, with a time of meditation and personal reflection from 10:30 to 11:00 am. At 11:00, we will hold space for those present to share their joys and sorrows and take in inspiration for further contemplation.  All are welcome.

Dec 7 | Lee Saville-Iksic

As we begin to explore our December theme, Choosing Hope, Lee Saville-Iksic looks at the story of the first Christmas through a psychological and mythological lens. Weaving together poetry, singing, storytelling, and ancient symbolism, we reflect on the acts of creativity that we are called to undertake during seasons of darkness, and the multitude of inner “characters” who affect our creative actions. Please join us!
