Allegheny Unitarian Universalist Church
Our mission is to nurture love and compassion in our congregation, our communities, and our world.
Join Us for Sunday Worship
Sunday worship at Allegheny offers an opportunity to find spiritual refreshment, inspiration, and joy. We worship together in the church sanctuary. Services are led by members and friends with Rev. David McFarland and Rev. Deryck Tines offering their reflections at Worship Café. Open Space Sundays offer a variety of experiences and opportunities to deepen our spiritual selves.

Jan 11 | Open Space Sunday
As part of our month-long focus on Practicing Resistance, we have an opportunity this morning for reflection and discussion around how we might live out our mission to nurture love and compassion. The Board will guide us in this time of discernment. Whether you are a long-time member or a first-time guest, you are invited to participate! We gather at 10:30am.
Jan 18 | Rev. Deryck Tines
The legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King inspires our January theme, Practicing Resistance. Rev. Deryck shares his reflections on the persistence of those who struggle for justice, and the love of those who build beloved communities. Please join us.
Jan 25 | Lee Saville-Iksic
On this last Sunday in January, we look to an old indigenous story for wisdom and guidance in our striving for a generative way of Practicing Resistance. Lee Saville-Iksic offers poetry, etymological musings, and a traditional South African song, reflecting on the cycles of collapse and renewal we all experience. All are welcome!
