The Northside Common Ministries 2017 Celebration of Caring will recoginize individuals and organizations who have made major contributions to the North Side neighborhood. Allegheny UU Church will be honored as Outstanding Congregation of the Year for our efforts toward social justice, working with immigrant communities, food pantry collections, and Share the Plate collections. The celebration will take place Friday November 3 at 6pm in the Grand Hall of The Priory Hotel. A dinner will be served and a silent auction will be held to benefit the Pleasant Valley Shelter for Men.
Other award nominees who will be invited to the dinner include Dr. Edward Kelly, Daniel See, Darlene Rushing, Gary Whitmore, Robyn Greer, and the ACAC Young Professionals Mentoring Program.
