During March and April we hosted Alternate Spring Break groups from Vanderbilt University and the University of Delaware. Unitarian House was home base and students spent the week doing community service projects on the North Side and around the city, at agencies including Gwen’s Girls, New Voices Pittsburgh, The Pittsburgh Project, and Habitat for Humanity. This was our fourth year supporting VandyASB and first with UDaB! Thank you to the Allegheny YMCA which provided showers and to YA-RISE which hosted pizza socials both weeks.
Know of a group looking for an urban community service experience? Hook them up with Allegheny UU.
