Allegheny Unitarian Universalist Church

We are a welcoming, urban congregation that puts Unitarian Universalism into action by celebrating life, nourishing the spirit, and inspiring a commitment to justice.

Join Us for Sunday Worship in the Sanctuary or Online

Sunday worship at Allegheny offers an opportunity to find spiritual refreshment, inspiration, and joy. We worship together in the sanctuary and online with Zoom. For Zoom access, please contact us.

Services are led by members and friends with Rev. David McFarland and Rev. Deryck Tines offering their reflections every month. Join us on First and Third Sunday of the month for a unique experience at Soul Space and Worship Café.

Soul Space | 10:30 am

Together we create a contemplative setting for reflection and renewal. The service begins with welcoming words and prayer, and concludes with a time of reflection and music. The Soul Space spiritual theme for September is The Practice of Invitation.

Worship Café | 11:00 am

Each month at the Worship Café, Allegheny welcomes Rev. Dave and Rev. Deryck to share their thoughts and passions to inspire us on the way.

PrayerSong | 6:30 pm on Fifth Sundays

Did you ever wish there was a time of worship other than Sunday morning? Well, at Allegheny there is such a time. Come join us for PrayerSong, a service of evening worship!

PrayerSong will be offered on “Fifth Sundays” at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary beginning in June 2024. PrayerSong is modeled on the traditional Taizé worship service and uses silence, inspiring words, prayer, and the singing of chants and rounds to quiet the mind and promote deeper reflection. It can be the perfect contemplative setting for those seeking renewal, connection, and peace. Note: There is no morning worship on Fifth Sundays.

All Are Welcome

You’ll find amazing people here from diverse religious backgrounds and on varied spiritual paths.

We are an LGBTQ Welcoming Congregation.

Oct 6 | Rev. David McFarland

This Sunday, Rev. Dave begins our reflections on October’s spiritual theme, The Practice of Deep Listening. Please join us at the Worship Café following SoulSpace, either in the sanctuary or online.

Oct 13 | Open Space Sunday – 10:30am

We set aside this hour for personal meditation and reflection. Join us in the sanctuary for an opportunity to be connected with life through the practice of deep listening. There are no expectations – you are welcome to engage for as long or as short a period as may be meaningful for you.
