Our Nov-Dec Justice Partner is Northside Food Pantry

The Northside Food Pantry is one of Pittsburgh’s largest, serving seniors, veterans and families who live in North Side neighborhoods. Operated by NCM, it is one of the only pantries in Pittsburgh to offer a supermarket-style experience for those it serves; a more dignified approach that gives those in need a choice over what they receive.

Founded over a Thanksgiving meal in 1982 to unite the efforts of more than 30 local churches and dozens of community volunteers, the food pantry has a nonsectarian mission, welcoming any person experiencing food insecurity – and each month about 700 North Side families need their help.

Allegheny has long been a supporter of both NCM and the Food Pantry. You can visit northsidefoodpantry.org to find out more and make a donation to help make the holidays special for our neighbors in need.
