Allegheny’s Justice Focus for July and August is Proud Haven. Proud Haven’s mission is to provide a safe shelter for LGBTQIA+ youth (aged 18–25) experiencing homelessness in Pittsburgh. Proud Haven provides emotional support and resources to help LGBTQIA+ youth develop the skills needed to live independently. Proud Haven is located at 525 E. Ohio Street right here on the North Side.

You can help by supporting them with a financial contribution, as well as with direct supplies that benefit clients (such as food and clothing). Volunteers are also welcome. Visit for all of the details.
