Share the Plate supports CeaseFirePA

Our Share the Plate collection during September and October 2016 raised $709 for CeaseFirePA, which is working to reduce gun violence and gun tragedies in our communities, stop the flow of illegal guns onto our streets, and keep guns out of the hands of people who should not have them. Allegheny’s Share the Plate program began in 2010 and directs half of our Sunday plate collection to justice partners doing important work in the communities of Pittsburgh’s North Side and beyond. Share the Plate supports Jefferson Recreation Center

Our Share the Plate collection during July and August 2016 raised $473 for the Jefferson Recreation Center. Jeff Rec is located at the top of Monterey Street just a few blocks from the front door of our church and has long served the children of our neighborhood. We’ve also had a long-term commitment to support programs there with volunteers. Our donations funded field trips to local parks and recreation activities.
