Board of Trustees

A Board of Trustees represents the Congregation and is responsible for the business affairs, governance, and financial oversight of the church. Officers are selected at the first meeting of the year. The Board appoints standing and temporary ministries, committees, and teams as needed.

Board Meetings

The Board of Trustees meets on the 3rd Monday of the month, either in-person or online. These meetings are open to the membership of the church, and a “Congregational Moment” is set aside at the start for members to come and talk freely about any topic. To suggest an agenda topic, contact <board at alleghenyuu.org>.

 

Annual Congregational Meeting

An Annual Congregational Meeting is held to discuss congregational affairs and business and for election of new trustees. A quorum of members is required to conduct the meeting.  Anyone can attend, although only those who have signed the membership book at least 30 days prior are eligible to vote. Members are encouraged to participate as a privilege and responsibility of membership.

The 2021 Annual Congregational Meeting will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021.
